Not sure how it has happened but all of a sudden, I have become obsessed with watches.
I find myself browsing watches at any opportunity, either in shop windows (as I dash like a mad women through Sunshine Plaza) or online.
Yep. I seek out and drool over the latest designs.
Which got me thinking that you may just love watches just as much as I do…and if you’re not sure what to pop on your 2016 Christmas list, this maybe the post for you, as I’m gushing about two lovely timepieces from Michael Hill
Tick-tock – there is less than 4 weeks left until Christmas…
The big day is nearly here, so it’s time to put pen to paper (or if you live on your phone like I do, take a few screen shots) and start making YOUR wish-list.
Now, depending on the size of your wrist you may fall into the smaller watch face category and favour something a little more delicate…here’s an article that explains all about watches that you might find interesting.
I, however, am drawn to watches with bigger faces.
Working in Mimco has truly opened my eyes to how people shop for watches.
I can be the impulsive shopper, which means if I walk into the first shop and fall in love with a watch, I will buy it instantly – without a backwards glance. I guess this is partly because I do a fair bit of my research online and because frankly, I know what I like.
What shocks me the most though, is when people take weeks to make a decision – I am far too impatient for this!
In fact, I would have lost interest – if I lust after anything and don’t buy it instantly, I obviously don’t need it 😉
So because I love my watches so much, the lovely team over at Michael Hill have sent me over couple of watches to add to my growing collection (insert very happy Bev face 🙂 ).
Now which one will be my new favourite…the rose gold or the silver?
Crisp and classic stainless steel with mother of pearl face – this watch is understated and stylish. The watch face display includes day, date and 24hr indicator.
Like its rose gold sister it’s also water-resistant up to 50m.
If rose gold is your thing this watch will not disappoint. It’s elegant and packs a mean punch on the style stakes too.
Rose gold never used to be my ‘thing’ at all – I tended to favour yellow gold, but now ‘rose’ seems to be the new ‘yellow’ when it comes to watches and accessories.
The same with silver. I think my silver issue was connected to only buying solid gold in my rings, necklaces and earrings for most of my life.
Now I happily go between the two, depending on my mood.
I popped into my local store to get both watch straps altered – the team were all super friendly and very efficient. Both watches were ready to collect in 20 mins and the service was free of charge for all Michael Hill customers.
Michael Hill stores have a vast array of jewellery and watches to suit every single taste and budget, go check out Michael Hill’s range of watches yourself.
