Bohemian Traders Boutique: The Launch

I can remember the first time Bohemian Traders popped into my Instagram feed.

Honestly, at that point the word Bohemian stopped me in my ‘Classic’ style tracks.

Me Bohemian? NEVER!

I truly believed there was not an ounce of Bohemian in me…it didn’t stop me heading straight to the website and checking it out though.

How could I, the classic English girl with a wardrobe so jet black, that I should have settled in Melbourne, have an ounce of Bohemian in me?

Fast forward a few months…I might just have eaten my words 😉

One day as I was leisurely flicking through Instagram (as you do, when you most certainly should be doing something else) I saw a dress that stopped me in my tracks.

I knew at the moment, the dress HAD to be mine.

Said dress was in the form of stripes and POCKETS – ‘nothing Bohemian about stripes’, I hear you say.

But it was the first piece of clothing that grabbed me.

The cut was spot-on, v-neck and totally stylish.

I instantly pictured wearing it with a linen jacket and wedges – it become my summer go-to frock.

I remember going into work (Country Road at the time) the next day saying I had entered a competition at Bohemian Traders and had a strange feeling I was going to win.

Yep that feeling was right. I did.

And just like that, my love affair with Bohemian Traders began.

No lie, I’ve been a full-time, dead set #fangirl ever since.

Bohemian Traders just keep getting better and with every new collection, I fall deeper in love with the label.

Firstly, quality is a huge thing to me. I want my pieces to be on repeat when it comes to the ‘wash and wear’ process I put them through. After all, if you love something, you will wear live in it right? But I also want (yep, I’m a needy gal 😉 ) my wardrobe to have pieces that challenge my classic style personality.

It could be a show pony item in the latest ‘it’ colour or it could be a print that when paired back with a simple staple (hello drop crotch pants and the most incredible denim you will EVER put your ass into)

From that first bohemian denial moment to now, my style has been enhanced by this amazing brand.

It also helps that the BT team are a true delight to work with.

Stylish threads for the real woman…or if your name is Bev from Iris May Style, a real woman with very real curves (aka, junk in my trunk).

Yes, BT clothes fit and flatter my curves, but look equally as delightful on Beckie’s tiny size 8 frame.

So when the invitation to attend the opening of Bohemian Traders boutique in Erina dropped into my inbox, I squealed with pleasure and replied before they had a chance to change their mind.

I started writing this blog sitting on the flight down to Sydney and even getting up at 4am did not dull my enthusiasm.

Meeting Em and the BT team is something I have wanted to do for ages.

It was also the perfect opportunity to get a behind the scenes sticky beak and find out more about the Bohemian Traders family (more from the BT family in the next instalment).

The new Bohemian Traders boutique is based in Erina on the NSW Central Coast, a short 1.5 hours drive from Sydney.

From the moment you walk through the door, I promise you, you’ll feel at home.

Shae the lovely Store Manager truly knows her stuff. She will welcome you with a big smile and a bucket load of style inspiration.

So lovelies, if you are ever passing please pop in and say hello.

Or if you live in Sydney, get a couple of girlfriends together and head to the Coast for the day (there is a fabulous Italian a few doors down for a spot of lunch and a glass of fine wine…just make sure you’re not the designated driver!).

If you have been nervous about buying online  but LOVE what you see on the website, this brick and mortar boutique is for YOU.

I promise you won’t regret it and you won’t resist the temptation of buying  new treasures.

The whole launch evening was a huge success – here’s a few pics:
