There is always room in my (burtsing at the seams) wardrobe for classic pieces.
These are the pieces I rely on to get me through the day, without too much effort on my part…picture me dashing around like a headless chicken after leaving myself 30 minutes to get out of the door each morning.
Trust me. This is a regular occurrence at my place – I’m just not the best at time management, when it comes to getting dressed in the mornings.
I always try to sneak another ten minutes blogging or catching up on social media commitments, rather than focusing on the job in hand.
For this, I rely on solid pieces that I know will transform my lazy ass from dag to acceptable, in a heartbeat.
So my grab and go, will be pieces that not only fit and flatter, but also pack a mighty punch on the style stakes too.
Just think elegance without effort. That’s what I’m all about.
Great pieces should work for you. Pieces that should make getting dressed easier.
They should also be simple.
We’re not talking show ponies – just understated elegance.
Let’s welcome the newbie to the classic stable.
She is a gorgeous shift from Surafina – and I might be slightly smitten!
Brisbane is the home to the Surafina design duo, Laura and Rechelle the girls behind the label – I love that they are local to me.
Navy Longline Shift Dress * $169.00 Surafina I’m wearing the S/M | Shoes Witchery from the ark 😉
With this dress the possibilities are truly endless.
The fabric is lightweight, making it the perfect transeasonal piece.
If you need extra warmth add a slip underneath (which I have done here).
Or add an opaque tight for a true winter feel.
Heels, Sandals or boots they will all work.
Add a statement necklace to make the dress pop, or keep it simple like I have.
But as it’s still winter here, this camel vest is the perfect accompaniment to add a touch of trend, with the seasons must have colour.
Dress details as previous pic | Camel Drape Vest* $129.00 (free size) | Wind machine effect: Courtesy of Mother Nature 😉
I just adore the combination of Navy and Camel.
Its luxe without effort.
This gorgeous vest will also be making regular outings with my casual pieces throughout spring too.
Because, my favourite colour to pair back with camel, is white.
Expect to see this with my white jeans, camel boots and my Mulberry.
Think gold accessories. Earrings and bangles topped off with your favourite pair of sunnies.
Size wise: The dress is very flattering. I’m usually a 10/12 depending on brand but I feel sure the S/M would fit a regular size 12 comfortably, as unfortunately I am blessed with both a good size bust and hips/thighs!
This vest is a free size, so it should be easy to purchase without too much concern – You can play around with how you wear it, depending on your shape and curves.
Anyway, I for one, just can’t wait to wear both pieces again and again.
Would I find a classic shift in your wardrobe? Are you a lover of Navy pared back with Camel too?
